Tissue loading is one of the most powerful levers clinicians can manipulate in rehabilitation. Yet rehab professionals are often criticized for underloading patients, resulting in limited physiologic adaptation. This course addresses that gap. Building on the foundation of Dungeons and Dynamometers: A Force Course, it equips clinicians with practical, evidence-informed methods to resolve force deficits across the rehab and performance spectrum.
Through a combination of lecture, discussion, and “sandbox-style” lab sessions, participants will gain practical strategies for applying isometric, isotonic, isokinetic, and eccentric loading methods. Special emphasis will be placed on:
Anchoring training intensity to achieve targeted outcomes
Designing and progressing periodized training plans
Applying advanced training tactics within the larger rehab process
Adapting strategies for both high-tech and low-tech settings
Participants will leave with the ability to confidently prescribe and coach force-based interventions, troubleshoot common barriers (e.g., pain, injury, plateaus), and integrate these methods into individualized rehab and performance programs.
